On Friday they made an offer to 7-foot-1 international prospect Fridrik Leo Curtis.

The product of Iceland reported the IU offer on his social media pages.

Curtis attends Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science (CATS) Academy in Massachusetts.  He just got to the U.S. this fall to finish high school and then play college basketball.  He is already 19 and would be 20 upon arriving on a college campus next summer.

On film Curtis shows skill, with the ability to handle the ball and make threes.  This is how he described his game to Phenom Hoops:  “I’d say I’m a versatile player, can shoot, dribble, finish, and pass. I move pretty well and have a good feel for the game. I try to make the best reads each time, whether it is shooting threes, rolling, cutting, driving, or passing to an open teammate. I think I can have an inside and outside presence, rebound, block shots, and make plays for my teammates to help the team win.”

Playing professionally in Iceland this year, he averaged 15.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks while shooting 42.2% from three on 3.3 attempts per game.

Curtis has also reported offers from Stanford, Xavier, Alabama, Arizona State, UCF, and West Virginia.  He recently visited Arizona State.
