They outpaced Italy (165.494, second place) and Brazil (164.497, third place) to secure the gold.

For Simone Biles, this win marks an impressive return following her struggles at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. In Tokyo, Biles shocked the world by withdrawing from individual event finals due to "mental health reasons," despite being a strong contender for at least three gold medals. This decision significantly impacted U.S. gymnastics' performance at the 2020 Olympics.
Determined to make a comeback, Biles trained rigorously to compete in the 2024 Olympics. Her journey was not without challenges, as she entered the qualifiers with a left leg injury.

In the final, the 27-year-old gymnast delivered an outstanding floor routine, earning 14.666 points, the highest among all competitors in this segment. This score significantly contributed to the U.S. team's overall victory, solidifying their number one position in the women's team event.
