Better than an episode of The Real Housewives, sometimes your dog is the real drama queen in your life. That was certainly the case for one woman, whose pug came outside and decided to live out its soap opera fantasies in a hilarious new clip.

Ummm, what is going on here? That's what dog mom Angela was wondering when she looked over and noticed her Pug doing something truly strange.

We guess hanging around the house was getting boring because the Pug walked outside and got into a cat carrier filled with hay. It was admittedly a strange move. One that prompted its mama to ask it a really specific question: "What are you doing? Are you cosplaying being poor?" she asked the dog. It's like the dog was in a Charles Dickens book.

"What is happening? You barked to be let outside, so you could curl up in this," she told the dog in the video, incredulous. Don't ruin the dog's fantasy, please!

People in the comments section were cracking up. "In the arms of the angels...." joked one commenter. "Help me, I'm poor," another commenter teased. "It helps her stay humble," a third person chimed in. "This is the equivalent to a kid walking down the driveway with their suitcase and looking back to make sure you’re watching," added one person.

Pug Personalities

Completely beloved and popular with dog owners, there is no breed quite like Pugs. Pugs are truly special dogs that get along with a lot of different kinds of owners. Single people love Pugs, just as much as families do.

There's a reason for this. Pugs are obviously adorable small dogs, with little smushed faces and giant brown eyes. But personality-wise, it's important to know what you're getting into with a Pug. Compared to other toy breeds, Pugs aren't particularly outgoing and can be a little more on the serious side. But don't take that as a sign that Pugs aren't affectionate or loving. Pugs are eager-to-please, laid-back, and get along with both other dogs and children alike.

They can be stubborn, however. So you'll want to watch out for their stubborn streak. For the most part, Pugs don't really bark, dig, or chew. They like to be around others and make excellent lap dogs. They are relatively easy to groom and in general, are very low maintenance.

They're also goofy dogs too! Or maybe that's just this Pug, who really deserves an Academy Award nomination for its over-the-top performance.
