Singer pitched seven innings, giving up three runs in the second inning but then shutting down the opposition. He retired 15 of the last 17 batters he faced without allowing another run.
Reflecting on his performance, Singer said, "Don’t do it again. They gave me three runs there in the first, and in the second, I gave up three. They came back and helped me out."
